Silly Study Links Glucosamine to Increased Risk of Diabetes

This study looked at what happens to mouse cells in a test tube that were exposed to ten times as much glucosamine as a human would normally take and said that glucosamine could increase the risk of diabetes.

How silly. This is like giving a human 15,000 mg of glucosamine a day, rather than the normal 1,500 mg a day dose, but it's mouse cells in a test tube.

This means absolutely nothing to a human who takes 1,500 mg of glucosamine a day.

That it became a newspaper headline, which will confuse the public, gives us good reason to believe that it was placed there strategically to scare the public.

We can only guess that drug company money was behind this, in their continuing effort to create concern about nonsensical dangers that might happen if you take a dietary supplement that has long ago been proven to be safe and effective.

BIG GRAIN OF SALT!
